| 3. Post-production - editing will also account for a large portion of your funds, but arguably is the place where the money is best spent. The edit is where the pictures are fit together, but it's more than just joining parts of a puzzle. The edit will determine the creative delivery, how shots are used, and how the pace and flow are driven. Will music and sound effects be used? How about graphics? If time is a factor, how can we make the editing process as efficient as possible without sacrificing quality?
4. Delivery - what do you need when the finished video is complete? Will broadcast quality tapes be necessary? And if not now, then is it worth having them for the future? How will your clients or viewers see the piece? VHS, DVD or over the web? Is it likely you will want to update your video in the future, and if so, how is this best achieved?
There are so many considerations to be made, and we have only scratched the surface with these brief points, but you can see how complex a production could be. We will always endeavour to give you the best your budget will allow.
